Water Industry Pipework Fabricated Fittings
North Lynn pumping station is located in the North West of Kings Lynn. It is owned by Kings Lynn Internal Drainage Board and provides water level management to a catchment of approx. 590 Hectares. The existing pipework was installed in 1989, and the pumps and controls have reached the end of their economically serviceable life. The customer requested a DWI approved pipe coating, alongside a specification that the pipes must have a black external finish.
The most effective way for our coating company Northpoint to achieve this was to coat the pipes in the fluidised bed and coat internally and externally with Resicoat R4 in a light aqua green in order to obtain the DWI standards required. Following this, an external wet paint system was applied to achieve the specific black colour requested by the client.
